In 1964 Murray & Burrell became the first construction company in the Borders to attain NHBC status.
The National House-Building Council is the standard setting body and leading warranty and insurance provider for new and newly converted homes in the UK. Their role is to work with the house-building and wider construction industry to raise the standards of new homes, and to provide consumer protection to new home buyers. A Murray & Burrell home complies with all NHBC rules and standards and benefits from a NHBC 10-year warranty and insurance policy called 'Buildmark'.
Today, Murray & Burrell have an “A’ rating with NHBC.
